About me

From an early age I was the confident girl, the tallest in my school photos. My part-time job whilst in senior year at school was a fashion boutique, which gave me more self confidence to express myself through fashion and hone my skills in communication. And of course, my forever love of style and fashion magazines. I had more copies of Vogue than school books.

I began life after moving away from my hometown. A city life which was exciting and at times overwhelming. I met the man of my dreams, moved around, travelled overseas and enjoyed all the joy that a partnership provides. Happy in myself and creating a life effortlessly. Moving forward 30 years, I had two beautiful children and an amazing lifestyle. A change brewing that I did not see coming; a divorce imminent.

Time and circumstance have a way of jolting you into reality. The bubble had burst. Life as I knew it was over. To be turned upside down in such a way- you know to breathe, but little else is making sense. As a mum in protection mode, the fierceness and strength you possess is formidable. Yes, I was scared, but my fear swapped out for the love of my kids. Divorce is a symptom of a partnership ending. There is light at the end of that flaming tunnel. And I am a testament to that.

It has taken time to see the humour in what happened and what is happening in my new life. I would like to gather a tribe of likeminded women, to share in their experiences and their new beginnings. To do the best we can moving forward. Humour has a way of reinventing the old and creating a new narrative.
